Saints Row IV

Saints Row IV is an Open-World Sandbox game made by Volition and published by Deep Silver. It was released on the 20th of August, 2013. I've had a lot of fun so far playing this game, mostly because of the superpowers but also because of all of the weapons and vehicles. The comedy is also great and it keeps you entertained while playing. Saints Row IV is definitely worth your money, and here's why.

In Saints Row IV, not only are you the leader of the Saints, but you are the President of the United States. This leads to some great humor and helps keep the somewhat random storyline interesting. I'm not going to ruin the story for you but basically there's an alien, abductions happen, and so on. You meet some new friends in Saints Row IV, and you also reunite with some old ones. Keith David is even in it.

The guns are magnificent, and there are so many of them to play around with, I doubt I'll ever get bored of them. Some of my favorite weapons include the Dubstep Gun, which plays dubstep, and you can even upgrade it to get explosive wubs, the 'Merica Weapon, which fires a rocket every 10 bullets, the Violator, which is a tentacle bat that can be used to send enemies-or even friends- flying away, and the Abduction Gun, which creates a huge Abduction Ray and can send cars and people flying up into the sky.

The vehicles in this game are very fun as well, and you can customize any car that you find on the streets. I customized my car, that happened to look like a Ferrari, to make it have small wheels in the front, big ones in the back, and it barely ever dents or scratches! I also have the Screamin' Eagle plane, which is a hovercraft, and it fires a laser and rockets. It's very fun to mess around with all of the vehicles and weapons in Saints Row IV, but read on to find out about the super powers!

Okay so there are plenty of super powers that you can unlock and I don't want to spoil them all, so I'll just tell you about the basic super powers for now, such as the Sprint and the Jump powers. The Sprint power is the ability to run really fast, and you can upgrade it so that you can run even faster, and do plenty of other things such as running on water and making a tornado effect while running. The Jump Power is the ability to jump very high, and you can upgrade this so that you can go into an air dash, jump higher, and even glide. The super powers for your hands are amazing, and you can get blast, stomp, telekinesis, and a punch. I won't spoil the game and tell you about those, so you should go find out for yourself!

One thing that does make the game even more interesting is the character interaction. You can talk to people, or you can romance them. There are very funny romances in this game, such as romances with a robot, or getting rejected when trying to romance someone. The side quests are very fun to play around with and earn new/more powers, and the main quests are actually very entertaining.

That's just about all that I can say about the game right now, but I will update you on the game via our Facebook page later! Thanks for reading!

Payday 2

Payday 2. The long awaited Payday : The Heist sequel. IT'S ABOUT TIME, OVERKILL!Payday 2 is the long awaited (Atleast for me!) sequel to Payday : The Heist, a 4-player Co-op FPS game made by Overkill Software. But you already know that, right? I mean, seriously, this game is the 4th most played game on Steam at the moment! Anyways, I bet you came here asking yourself; "Oh, Moon Bear, is Payday 2 WORTH IT?". Well, short answer : YES.

But that really depends on you. If you are a Call of Duty player, for example, then this is NOT for you. Call of Duty is a Player versus Player game, while Payday 2 is a 4-player co-op game, with some heists best done stealthly (Which requires great teamwork).

Now, you might ask yourself; "Well, what's the difference between Payday 1 and Payday 2? Payday 1 is cheaper, could aswell buy that, eh?". WELL, First of all, pretty much every Payday 1 player will have moved on to Payday 2, sohave fun playing alone with bots (Which um... are pretty bad, since the game is supposed to be played with actual humanplayers.)! Then, Payday 2 has :

1. STEALTH (So, you can do most of the heists without firing a single shot!)

2. More Heists!

3. More weapons!

4. RPG Elements (Gun mods, mask customizations, drops, levels, spendable money, skills, etc)

5. And a lot more stuff which would take a lot to enumerate here.

By now, you should be like "Oh wow, that sounds so awesome! Totally buying it now! Thanks!" or
"Well, uh... I guess it sounds good, but every game must have a downside, right?", and to be honest, YOU'RE RIGHT! Payday 2 does indeed have some downsides, but let's be honest; every game has them! Payday 1 had them, but hey, it was still very enjoyable, and kept me playing for atleast 100 hours, even though it had only 6 heists (Plus 2 DLC, and 1 which was PC only). Payday 2 kicked that number of heists to atleast 15 heists. Now, that might still not sound like much, but some of them are "Multi-day" heists, which means more "heists" in a single heist. Therefore, if you were to count the "days" as heists too, you'd have a total of 30 heists, WITHOUT DLC, which, to be honest, sounds like a lot,
right?

Then, there's "Crime.net", the very thing that connects you to the actual heists. Unlike Payday 1, where you could
just select any heist you wanted with the difficulty you wanted, and start playing, here you have to go to a map of DC (The game takes place in DC) and keep waiting untill you find the heist with the difficulty that you wanted. Thankfully, That doesn't take too long, since a lot of heists can appear on the map. I didn't really hate Crime.net, but I can't say I loved it either. Some people actually got pretty mad at it, but no reason to stop playing just because of a map! Afterwards, we got "Payday". At the end of every heist, after you get your hard earned money and experience, you get to choose a random card out of 3, and hope you get something good. Well, that sounded awesome when I first heard about it, but after I played... well... MEH! Most of the time you'll get weapon mods for weapons that you don't own or don't use that often. OR DON'T USE AT ALL. But sometimes you can get some awesome stuff for your favourite weapon too, or a nice new mask so you don't run around with the default original mask. If you don't care about mask customizations and hate getting mods for guns that you don't have, you'll HATE this new kind of system.

And the last thing, MASK CUSTOMIZATION. Yeah, it sounds EPIC, making your OWN mask, which you couldn't do in Payday : The Heist, and show it off to your friends/people on public games too! Isn't that AWESOME? Well... not really! First of all, you can only get materials on "Payday", which was already explained in this review already, RIGHT THERE ^! Most of the time you'll get weapon mods, and if you're lucky (Unless you don't care about masks), a new mask or a new pattern/colour. Then, once you customize a mask, you lose the pattern, the colour, and the material. And you can't "Clean" the mask. IT'S STUCK LIKE THAT! To be honest I didn't really like this idea, but I guess it should make you think heavily before finalizing the mask. And well, that's pretty much it about Payday 2. I know I didn't talk about heists that much, but hey, I don't want to spoil the fun for you! Go figure that out yourself! ;D
